Scooters – are the greatest innovation among different kinds of transport. These are economical vehicles for self transportation. They have a very compact seize and this give them advantage in easy movement on the roads.

- Motorized Scooters – they are popular among young people. Their engine is of 50cc or less , smaller electric motor. They can be of different forms:
a) mopeds
b) segways
c) seated scooters
d) standup electric or gas scooters.
They have a low speed from 8 to 20 mph and their travelling range is 5 to 20 miles. They have smaller engine and motor compared to motor scooters, but they are inexpensive.
- Kick Scooters (Push Scooters, Folding scooters ) – they move by pushing or kicking, and do not have any engine or motor. They are popular for kids. It is easy and faster to move with their use than by foot. Kids like them as they also are able to make different tricks with them. They are foldable. It means that kids may easy take them to schools. They are cheap because of their design and absence of engine.
- skateboard scooters – this type is a combination of a scooter and a skateboard.
- Executive scooters – non-motorized model has handbrakes and gives a smooth ride in all types of road conditions. They are popular not only among children, but also among adults.
The companies that have made scooters popular are Vespa, Honda and Aprilia.
