Jeep Commander: the true outlander
Sometime ago the word “jeep” became the synonym to outlander and Jeeps never broke this tradition as new Jeep Commander met all the “outlander’s standards”.

The car got 326 hp 5.7 liters Hemi engine providing good acceleration even with poor body kick-down regime. Still the car easily responds to accelerator but may be hard to keep on track in turns as you have to take some time to get used to steer and front wheel connection. The breaks are not aggressive but their ABS system activates too early shaking the car body in turning curves.
When riding the ground roads the car just “flies”. Losing in speed the passengers on not smooth roads feel more comfort though. For the cases with no roads Commander as every Grand Cherokee has Quadra-Drive II system with 3 self-blocking differentials (in Russia comes together with 5.7l engine). If needed Quadra-Drive II is able to block not only the intra-axes differential but the front or the rare axis. So, the car scores high on cross-country ability tests.
Small overhangs, big clearance and big suspension moves provide the heavier than Grand Cherokee car with better geometrical practicability. The engine that is at its maximum from 2500 turns and shift gear with down going sequence that is turned on by lever in central tunnel allow the driver not to worry what is under the wheels.
So, new Jeep Commander is a real “Jeep” and its driver is able to ride it everywhere with confidence in car and himself.
