Getting Vehicle Tyres From A Merchant Is A Terrible Experience

by Auto on June 15, 2009

If you’re for inexpensive sedan tyres then there are a selection of merchants that you can go to buy your tyres. This includes local tyre shops, buying van tyres online as well as other retail outlets such as your local garage or superstore. For countless people (me included) it’s one of the most awful jobs possible – the suggestion of driving to a sedan garage and choosing tyres which probably cost a fortune fills me with absolute dismay… so much so I’d rather poke my eyeballs out than buy car tyres – it’s just so mind blowingly tedious and boring boring boring!

If you shop about for suv tyres you get the predictable phone ringing out for ages and then some pea brained moron answering the phone who has no interest in you as a client and just wants to get back to looking at the girly calendar on the wall. Why does it have to be this way?

There has to be a way to Discount Tyres that is easier and less painful!

We’ve all seen the conceited adverts from Kwik Fit where the animated consumer has a hitch and calls ‘the guys’ who mend his automobile up in a jiffy! What a load of tosh! He more like phones the ‘idiots’ who, after not bothering to answer the phone for half an hour, eventually manage to charge the earth for a piece of rubber.

Then of course you have to bear the very uncomfortable waiting room with the mum and screaming kids, big ugly builder giving you the evils and the greasy sales rep on his mobile phone continually ‘showing off’. There has to be an easier way surely?

There are a huge amount of online tyre merchants serving the UK market and at least you can buy the tyres at a enhanced price than ‘the guys’ however you still need to have them fitted. Some online retailers have mobile fitters and some will direct you to a local fitting depot so you’ve still got to bear that bit but hopefully not for too long.

I don’t know what it is that about the procedure but I can’t stand it – When will they create a tyre that does not need replacing, surely it’s achievable although I imagine that the tyre companies have no interest in doing this as it would put them out of business –so we’ll have to struggle along as we do right now and suffer the fitting process. I must say that the idea of having coupé tyres fitted at home is quite interesting although you hope that you don’t have to ‘stay in all day’ like you do when you’re expecting a delivery as this would be a real pain as well.

You know what, I’m definately going to be Buying Tyres Online in the future.

I know I sound like a proper old grouch and you’re possibly thinking what’s his problem but I needed to get this off my chest as it simply drives me crazy. If think that I’ll try buying vehicle tyres online from now on and hopefully the experience may get better – I may even keep you lot posted on what’s happened – I’m sure that you can’t wait for the next tyre instalment of my tyre life.

In fact I must go out right now and buy cheap michelin tyres online for myself!!
