Recently there was news that Ford are to carry out parenting advertising in Mumsnet for their new cars promotional campaign. Mumsnet is a website community which gives advice to parents on tips and guidelines on parenting. It has advice on pregnancy, books, food, special needs, baby names, travel, politics and internet safety.

Ford is planning to invite parents with families to do tests on their new S-Max and Galaxy cars. They plan to video the tests and then upload the videos in YouTube and Mumsnet’s Websites. Wunderman did the similar campaign last year to test one of their cars.

For feel that Mumsnet is one community they need to communicate directly with as it has one of the biggest audiences which ford is planning to target. You will see a lot of parenting videos in YouTube channel in next few months because of this advertising campaign from Ford. They are hoping that this advertising technique will help boost their sales of S-MAX and Galaxy cars. There are also many different deals on ford cars and accessories, which they are hoping to cover from this campaign. So buy a ford soon to take advantages of Ford’s outstanding new offers.

Social media websites are being used by many bigger brands to promote their new products and services and also to increase the brand awareness. After this experience Ford should really look into adding their videos and posts of the experiment on many different social media sites such as Stumble Upon, Digg, Reddit and more. There are several other ideas which Ford can use after this marketing campaign. Another idea would be to capture funny moments and then use the video because everyone like funny images and video clips. This is help them target more wider audience for their new deals.

Other car companies are also looking into the similar type of advertising campaign taken by Ford. Audi the German car tycoons are planning something similar for their new Audi Q5 vehicle.
